#15 Look at all of your work from far away.
When you are working in studio you get tunnel vision.  (Not to be confused with “studio goggles”, but thats a whoooole other topic we will get into later.)  You are at your desk sitting very close to the design for an extended period of time.  You may even be dreaming about what it is like to be inside the space you are creating.  Then when you pin up, you are seeing it from everyone else’s perspective for the first time.  This can come as a shock, especially the first couple times.  To avoid this, look at your work from across the room and at different angles.  Then make adjustments so the work can be read from a distance.  This method will help in communicating your project, and who knows, it may even give you some new ideas.
