Port Folio help
Hello, I’m looking for some help regarding an arch port folio I’m putting together. Currently I’m a first year Interior Arch student and I have an interview lined up to change to a “real” Arch course this autumn.
Unfortunately, I received my invite 4 days before a huge studio submission, but only 2 weeks before the interview! Which has resulted in me having only 6 days to pull an entire years work (and then some) together into a maximum of 15 A1 sheets.
I’m wondering if the balance of work looks correct, do you think they would rather see more finished work or work still in process? I’ve got a mix of presentation boards, sketchbooks, concept submission boards, (some) still life drawings, pictures of models and one self initiated study of a building.

Tips for a good portfolio:
- Go through your projects
- Pick out most important things
- Decide what bind would best fit your portfolio
- Draw a layout by hand before putting it on the computer
- Keep the color consistent for each project layout.
- Small text size
- Few sentences
- Consistent layout
- Use datum lines
- Hierarchy
- Bold text for hierarchy don’t simply make text larger
- White space is good
- Don’t cram too many photos/drawings in one page - Spread them out
i will post mine up right after this post so everyone can take a look at it. i worked with my professor for two days with my portfolio so most of these tips are what she gave me.
